Our gold-plated items are compliant with the Assay nickel release test (BS EN 1811:1998 and BS EN 12472); therefore, they are suitable for those with nickel allergies.
How can I personalise this engraved heart signet ring?
Our engraved heart signet ring can be either hand-stamped or engraved – all personalisations are done in our Brighton workshop. You can handstamp uppercase Roman alphabet letters, numbers, ampersands (&), full stops (.) and commas (,). Please note that each character is hand-stamped, so each piece is unique, and any variations should be appreciated as part of the design.
If you choose to engrave, the black finish provides a bolder, easier-to-read look, whereas the clear finish offers a subtler look. The black finish is achieved by filling the personalisation with specialist jewellers' gilders' paste. This finish can wear away over time, but we do have a Care & Repair service to bring your text back to life.
How durable is 18ct gold plating?
Gold plating can wear away over time, and this can be accelerated by exposure to water, heat, and certain chemicals. If the plating on your product wears away within the first three months of your purchase, we will happily replate the item free of charge.
