Posh Totty Designs is looking for a brilliant, confident and dependable person to join our Brighton store team.

We’re not looking for someone who simply wants a retail job.

We’re looking for someone who will genuinely love our jewellery, understand what we stand for and become an ambassador for the brand someone who will happily wear Posh Totty Designs every day, talk passionately about our pieces and make every customer who walks through the door feel looked after.

For over 20 years, we’ve been designing and handmaking meaningful, personalised jewellery here in Brighton. Our pieces celebrate names, people, memories, milestones and stories and we want someone who really connects with that.

Who we’d love to meet

You’ll probably be someone who:

• Has strong retail, sales, hospitality or customer-facing experience.
• Is confident starting conversations and building relationships with customers.
• Knows how to sell naturally without being pushy.
• Is reliable, responsible and comfortable taking ownership of the shop floor.
• Has great personal style and genuinely loves jewellery, fashion, interiors, independent brands or design.
• Has some background in creativity and able to demonstrate wax ring carving while hosting our Ring Making Workshops.
• Notices the details, from how the store looks to how a customer is being treated.
• Understands that brilliant retail is about creating an experience, not simply standing behind a till.
• Enjoys working towards sales targets and takes pride in a great day's trading.
• Is happy working independently as well as being part of a close-knit team.
• Wants to become part of a brand rather than just clocking in for a shift.

We particularly welcome people with substantial customer-facing experience who bring confidence, life experience, warmth and professionalism to the role.

The role

You’ll be working in our Brighton store for approximately 3–4 days a week, including regular weekend shifts. Alongside making retail sales, our Ring Making Classes are one of the most fun parts of the Posh Totty Designs experience! We welcome groups of up to six people into our store, pop open the fizz and guide them through creating their very own ring from wax – no experience needed, just plenty of enthusiasm and creativity.

From hen dos and birthdays to anniversaries and couples making their actual wedding rings (no pressure!), every workshop is a little bit different and always a lot of fun.

A big part of this role is hosting these gorgeous sessions, making everyone feel instantly at home, keeping the fizz and good vibes flowing, and confidently guiding complete beginners through the ring-making process. We’re looking for someone warm, creative and naturally brilliant with people, who can make every workshop feel like a proper Posh Totty Designs occasion.

Your days will include:

• Hosting our Ring Making Workshops
• Welcoming and advising customers.
• Helping people choose meaningful gifts and personalised jewellery.
• Styling and recommending pieces.
• Driving sales and working towards store targets.
• Learning the stories behind our collections.
• Becoming knowledgeable about personalisation, engraving, birthstones and our handmade processes.
• Keeping the shop looking beautiful and well presented.
• Building relationships with regular and local customers.
• Representing Posh Totty Designs brilliantly both inside and outside the store.

And yes we absolutely want you wearing the jewellery.

What matters most to us

Personality, reliability, confidence and genuine enthusiasm for the brand.

You might have worked in jewellery or fashion before but you could equally come from hospitality, interiors, beauty, luxury retail, independent shops or another highly customer-focused environment.

If you're the sort of person who remembers a customer's name, spots when someone needs help without hovering over them, loves recommending things and gets a buzz from making a sale, we'd love to hear from you.

We are an independent Brighton jewellery brand with our own workshop and stores, creating personalised and meaningful jewellery by hand.

We believe jewellery should mean something.

Names, handwriting, birthstones, lucky charms, initials, memories and milestones all become part of the pieces we make. We're proud of our Brighton roots, our craftsmanship and the amazing team behind the brand.

Regular weekend working is essential. A fully paid 30 minute lunch break is provided every day. Store opening hours are from 10am - 6pm, with occasional Ring Making Classes booked from 6pm - 8pm during the week.

Daily sales are rewarded with a commission structure.
