This latest collection is inspired by a lifetime of beachcombing and the quiet magic of finding something beautiful at the water’s edge.
As a child, I spent hours searching the beaches of Walton, Frinton and Hunstanton, with May half terms in Combe Martin and long summers on the Isle of Wight. My pockets would fill with little treasures from the shoreline: perfectly flat skimming stones, pretty pieces of sea glass, chunky sea-worn nuggets and, best of all, lucky stones with a hole naturally worn through them.
I still do exactly the same now.
Every beach seems to have its own kind of treasure. Some stones are smooth and flat enough to skim across the water, while others are wonderfully uneven, tactile and sculptural, like the big Brighton nuggets I love to find today. I’m endlessly drawn to those imperfect shapes and the fact that no two are ever quite the same.
At the heart of this collection is the lucky stone.
Inspired by those naturally holed pebbles we searched for as children, each piece is designed as a little talisman to carry with you. Worn simply on soft suede cord or suspended from a chain, every lucky stone is made to feel personal, tactile and full of meaning.
And, of course, every piece comes with a little extra luck for the wearer.
No pebbles were stolen in the making of this collection. Just my memories for inspiration.
