AWARD WINNING SERVICE
The wedding had been a long time coming! Initially we fell pregnant with my first child Albie so had to move the day to the year after and then Covid 19 hit so had to postpone again and then again due to the pandemic by which time we’d had another little boy called Idah. Then, finally, we had the wedding this year in 2022, and all my boys could attend!
We had a traditional ceremony in our church and then we went back to the barn on my parent's farm where we had decorated and built everything (even the toilets) ourselves! It had a very laid-back boho styling with pampas grasses, palms and candles everywhere. All our friends and family who we wanted to come, came, which made the day perfect.
So the locket was bought for me by my now husband 3 years ago for me to wear on my wedding day, Originally I had a picture of my husband and son to go in there but then because we had to wait so long and I had Idah by then, so I changed the pictures to my sons either side of the locket and wore it on my wedding day so when I was up at the alter with my husband, in a sense I had both boys with me.
I initially picked a traditional wedding store dress but once I came away, I couldn’t sleep as I wasn’t 100%. So my sister and I eventually found a £200 off-the-peg dress that was more me and a little bit different. I loved the deep v neck cut as I wanted to wear your necklace on the day.
Hmmm… … just don’t stress too much. Everything comes together as long as you have booked the main big things then everything else falls into place. Just start collecting little bits slowly, I would go to auctions and buy chairs and candle sticks etc.
I can’t really pick just one! Everyone said ‘what a shame it’s raining’ but then a huge rainbow came over us in the evening, which was just beautiful, can’t have a rainbow without a bit of rain ❤️
