Short Description

Following the success of our Sterling Silver jewellery making class. you can now create your very own necklace charm pendant in the comfort of your own home.

Each charm making kit includes:

1 large file, 1 small file, Cutting mat, sandpaper, Thimble, 1 practice wax block, 1 final wax block, 1 fabric zippered case, Pencil & instructions

Additional wax blocks are available to purchase seperately. You can to make as many charms as you like

When you have finished designing and carving your charm from the wax block, sent it to us and we can cast your very own design in 925 sterling silver. We will suspend your pendant from a 18" sterling silver chain using a jump ring mounted where you like, seal it up and send it back to you finished.

Your charm will be cast in the finest 925 Sterling silver. You also have the option of 18ct Rose Gold or 18ct Yellow gold plating .

Process & Tools

Firstly you'll create some simple sketches to work out your ideas before starting to sculpt the wax. Using files and sandpaper, you will shape the wax into your chosen shape. The kit includes a test block so you can practice your techniques before sculpting your final charm. There is no right and wrong with wax carving; any marks or shapes you make will be cast when the charm gets made into its final silver form.

Ring Delivery

Simply post your finished design to us and we will cast it into beautiful sterling silver. Within three weeks, your charm will be delivered to you by post.

Personalisation:

Each item is individually handmade to order in our Brighton workshop. The personalisation is hand-stamped rather than machine engraved, as such, any irregularities should be appreciated as part of the bespoke design.

All of our items are handmade so please check that all personalisation, sizing, product options and delivery information have been entered correctly. We cannot guarantee that any adjustment requests made after the order has been placed will be possible. Character limits apply to all jewellery items.

Please note that we cannot stamp lower case letters.

Punctuation:

We can only stamp the Roman alphabet in the upper case font shown in the product images. We can only include certain punctuation marks, they are the ampersand (&), the full stop (.) and the comma (,). We can also include numbers but we cannot include any other punctuation, accent marks or mathematical symbols. Any punctuation requests other than those listed above will be omitted.

Text Finish

Black finish gives a bolder, easy to read look, whereas clear finish gives a more subtle look. The 'black finish' is achieved by applying a specialist black paste that leaves the text with black fill. Black finish can fade over time. We suggest that if you want to prolong this finish on your jewellery, it is advisable to not expose it to perfume, chlorine, cosmetics, hand sanitiser and body lotions. Humidity and body oils may also affect the black finish.

If your black finish does fade we offer a jewellery maintenance service, which includes a high shine re-polish and the re-application or removal of black fill if required. Find out more about our Jewellery maintenance services.

18ct Gold plating:

We make our jewellery using the finest quality 925 Sterling Silver. Most of our Silver Jewellery can also be plated with a thick layer (approx 1 micron) of 18ct yellow gold/ 18ct rose gold.

Our gold plated items are compliant with the Assay nickel release test (BS EN 1811:1998 and BS EN 12472) therefore they are suitable for those with nickel allergies.

We advise that gold plating is a finish that can wear away over time. It can be affected by elements such as exposure to water, heat, chlorine and chemicals found in body lotions/ cosmetics/ hand-sanitiser/ perfumes as well as different skin types.

If the plating on your product wears away within the first three months of your purchase we will happily re-plate the item free of charge. However, beyond the first three months of purchasing there is a £20 re-plating charge.

To avoid continual re-plating we recommend that 9ct pure gold is the best option.
