International Women’s Day #PowertoChange

Back in 2016, we started supporting Women for Women International, a charity that invests where inequality is greatest by helping women who are forgotten — the women survivors of war and conflict.

This year for International Women’s Day we are getting behind their #PowertoChange campaign, adding our voice to help facilitate change and make the world more equal, peaceful, and prosperous for women everywhere.

Here, in their own words, is a little bit more about the campaign.

What is #PowerToChange?

Women for Women strongly believe that a world that does not respect women’s power does not respect women.

We’re talked down to, talked over, silenced, ignored. We make up half the world and half its potential but are still excluded from decisions that affect us. We’ve been taught to accept injustice. We’ve seen women around the world stripped of their rights and livelihoods and girls suffer without access to education and health resources. And with our world turned upside down over the past year, it's even more important to imagine a future where every woman can seize her inherent power. ⁠⁠Enough is enough. ⁠⁠The #PowerToChange campaign is all about using your power in practical ways and taking steps (no matter how small) to make changes in your community and beyond.
