While they can be frustratingly stubborn at times, they're excellent at standing their ground - and can be extremely generous with their time, energy, money and belongings. Gemini (May 21st - Jun 20th) These quick-witted individuals are champion chatterboxes, loving great conversation and words in general. Sociable and energetic, they'll be the butterfly at a party as much as the one engaged in deep talks in the corner. They love using their minds and thrive when they feel stimulated. On the other hand, get them on routine tasks and watch their sparkle fade fast: boredom is tantamount to death to a Gemini. Gemini professions tend to err towards anything language or communication sbased, like journalism, writing and even teaching. Leo (Jul 23rd - Aug 22nd) Represented by the lion in the zodiac, these guys are pretty much everything you'd expect a lion to be: strong, regal, proud, family and friend orientated... and often owners of fantastic hair! They're steady people who aren't afraid to roar until they get what they want. Incredibly loving, they make others around them feel secure and valued - although no one wants to be on the wrong side of a Leo. Natural leaders, Leos make great politicians, teachers and actors. Virgo (Aug 23rd - Sept 22nd) This sign is ruled by the element of earth, meaning that Virgos find it easy to keep their emotions in check and their feet on the ground. With an acute eye for detail, they notice the little things; although perfectionism is kind of the name of the game with these guys. At the end of it all though, they're just after peace and harmony and aren't afraid to work hard to get it. Their focus and ability to multi task make them an employer's dream. Libra (Sept 23rd - Oct 22nd) For Libra, it's all about balance, fairness, justice and diplomacy. No wonder, given that they're represented by the symbol of the scales! When they're not speaking out on behalf of a good cause, they're probably enjoying a musical performance, taking in some art at a gallery, or lapping up a delicious meal out. They're highly sociable people and love exercise their mental muscles, but staying true to their quest for balance, sensuality is just as important. Libras make spot on diplomats, travel agents, or professionals within justice systems. Libras of note include Gwyneth Paltrow, Will Smith and Theresa May.

 

Scorpio (Oct 23rd - Nov 21st) Still waters run deep with Scorpio, for while they might not appear to show much emotion of the surface, the truth is that they possibly experience emotions more intensely than any other sign of the zodiac. They're deeply passionate - even a little possessive and jealous at times. That said, they're incredibly measured when making decisions or moves in life, and are masters at tackling obstacles, making them life's natural entrepreneurs. Fiercely good at keeping secrets, you're likely to find them working in areas involving high confidentiality, such as government work, or medical professions. Hilary Clinton, Ryan Gosling and Winona Ryder make up a few Scorpio luminaries.

Sagittarius (Nov 22nd - Dec 21st) The zodiac's adventurer, if there's one thing a Sagittarian loves more than anything, it's travel and adventure. This sign values its freedom and hates being pinned down or forced to commit. Part of their love of travel is to experience as much life as possible: they're keen thinkers and philosophers, with a sharp intellect and love of knowledge. Almost a bit of a polymath when it comes to interests and expertise, Sagittarians shine within most professions - as long as they've got the freedom to be themselves, whittle their intellect and aren't confined by hierarchy too much, they're happy in most places (it's all part of life's experience, right?). Capricorn (Dec 22nd - Jan 19th) Symbolised by the goat, Capricorns make awesome friends and are another sign that needs a happy homelife in order to feel complete. However, with the goat influence in mind, it's no surprise Capricorn can be a little gruff and obstinate from time to time. They're ace problem solvers and rarely get phased by obstacles or bumps in the road: their ability to jump over anything like this makes life's lemons look like lemonade when there's a Capricorn involved. Aquarius (Jan 20th - Feb 18th) The zodiac's most intelligent sign, Aquarians love thinking differently. So much so, they readily embrace alternative lifestyles and feel very strongly about humanitarian issues. They're naturally creative and find it easy to make friends, although time alone is incredibly important to them to recharge. Their ability to think out of the box and come up with almost zany sounding ideas and solutions, make them great scientists and inventors, although the arts and design based careers are hugely attractive to them. Famous Aquarians include Bob Marley, Jennifer Aniston and Anton Chekov.

Pisces (Feb 19th - Mar 20th) You're unlikely to find Pisces loving the limelight any time; like the fish that represent them, they're happier in the shade, avoiding too much attention. Some say that Pisces people are a little bit psychic by nature, and for sure, they're possibly the most intuitive of the signs. They're selfless and feel emotions very intensely, but don't much like to show this to others: rather, they'll exercise an air of naivety to avoid discussion about it. Flexible and compassionate, they make great doctors and nurses - healthcare in general is an ideal profession for them. Rihanna, Emily Blunt and Daniel Craig are a few famous Pisceans.
