We love Brighton in the autumn

We love Brighton in the autumn
The temperature has most definitely turned, and we've dusted off our coats to keep out the distinct autumn chill. We'll look back fondly upon the summer in Brighton 2016 because if ever there's a place in this country that lends itself 100% to the summer months, we're pretty proud to say it's our dear old home city. But you know what? We secretly love the colder seasons and think that Brighton in the autumn has just as much on offer during these rich and mellow climes. Here are few of the PTD staff's absolute fave things to do in Brighton during the autumn months.   The Lanes Ghost Walk Amelia, sales assistant - "I really want to do the legendary ghost walk in the Lanes for Halloween this year. And come November, I highly recommend the annual ice skating rink in front of the Pavilion." Sunrise behind Brighton Pier Emma, customer and supplier relations manager - "I love going to the movies, eating at my favourite vegetarian restuarant, Terre a Terre. Walks by the sea wrapped up warm and getting the last of the amazing autumn sunrises on the weekend with a morning bike ride." Food at the Fountain Head, photo courtesy of Places I Eat Brighton Anna, assistant retail manager - "When summer goes, one of my favourite pastimes is to cosy up in a nice pub - usually the North Laine's Fountain Head pub by the fire place - with my beau and my dog and order some good pub grub and have a glass of wine away from the rain."   Beyond Retro on Brighton's Vine Street Beth, workshop manager - "I love rummaging for winter clothes in Beyond Retro in the North Laine, really taking my time to dig about. Then it's got to be a film at the Duke of York's cinema, which is the oldest cinema in the country. It's the best one too, in my opinion!"   Brighton's Painting Pottery cafe on Church Road Layla, E-Commerce manager - "There are loads of things I love doing in and around Brighton during the colder months. A good old cheese and wine evening at La Cave à Fromage or Ten Green Bottles is always a cockle warmer. Or when the weather's not so great, the Painting Pottery Cafe on Church Street in the North Laine. Then there's the excellent Ditchling Museum of Art and Craft out of town in nearby Ditchling, or a walk to a little village called Kingston which is just outside Lewes. There's a wonderful 15th century pub there called The Juggs, or if you head into Lewes, it's got to be The Snowdrop Inn which do the most amazing veggie roasts. Oh, and the brilliant pub quiz and the Brighton Beer Dispensary!"   What are you favourite things to do in autumn in and around where you live?
