In this blog feature, we chat to the PTD staff to ask them about their own Posh Totty Designs pieces. What's the story behind their jewellery and the inspiration behind the personalisations?   This week, PTD's Supplier and Customer Relations Manager, Emma, tells us about her bespoke Diamond Mini Message Necklace...

 

"I treasure my North East South West Diamond Mini Message Necklace given to me by the team on my 40^th birthday. It’s a bespoke piece, only one of a kind which makes it even more special.  The necklace features a beautiful 9ct rose gold mini circle charm set with four diamonds in each of the compass points, with a hand of Hamsa tag at the clasp. I wear it all the time (except for swimming in the sea!) and it’s a special reminder to always know which direction my heart is going in."

31st August  Our super sassy shop star, Harriet, gives us the lowdown on her Personalised Stacker Rings.

 

"My favourite PTD pieces are my three Personalised Stacker Rings. I wear all three of them everyday and feel completely lost without them! Each one is personalised with really random words that literally don’t make any sense together, but all have individual meanings to me. The first one is personalised with 'Peach', a nickname my partner gave to me, because when we met my hair was dyed a peach colour. According to him I am THE most clumsy person and from that apparently I bruise like a peach! The other two are personalised with 'Tokyo' and 'Love' and are worn together as a pair. Tokyo has always been a really important part of my life, not only as I have family there, but as a place where I’ve always felt at home."

24th August Interiors Assistant, Yasmin, tells us about her Personalised Scalloped Silver Curve Necklace.

 

"My favourite item from Posh Totty Designs is the Personalised Scalloped Silver Curve Necklace. I wear it every day. I really love the design - it’s pretty and dainty, yet has this element of fun. I also just had to get the rose gold finish because it’s such a lovely warm colour. I chose the personalisation ‘Compassion & Kindness’ for several reasons. It’s up to us as individuals to choose how we are with other people. I believe we must be kind, supportive, accepting and understanding of others.  Also, as a female, I think it’s so important to empower and encourage other women. In a world where there is so much conflict, these little things are so simple yet can really can go such a long way. As people, we can get carried away and it can be easy to put ourselves down or put unnecessary pressure on ourselves. This mantra is also a reminder to be compassionate and kind to myself; to practice self-care, love, belief and acceptance. And finally, I believe compassion extends even further than just humans. I have been vegan for a few years and I feel this quote perfectly summarises my lifestyle choice and love of animals!"

17th August Brand Developer Katie's custom 9ct Gold Lucky Wishbone Necklace has been a lucky talisman during her first year as a mum.

 

"My necklace was a lovely gift from the PTD team last summer to wish me luck on my new adventure into motherhood. It has the initials PW for Polly Wren (my daughter's name) and my name on a tiny gold disc. I haven't taken it off once in a whole year. In a funny way, I feel it really has given me great luck throughout the crazy journey, and I have convinced myself that taking it off may be bad luck!"
